SHB Recipe: Deep Fried Wild Turkey Dijon Strips

Here’s a quick recipe that tastes delicious!

1. 5 lb. turkey breast, boned and cut into strips
2. ½ cup of Dijon mustard
3. ½ cup regular mustard
4. 1 tsp garlic powder
5. 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
6. 1 – 12oz. beer
7. 2 eggs.
8. 4 cups Idaho Potato Flakes
9. kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
10. Canola Oil For Deep Frying

Instructions:

First, marinade the turkey strips in Italian dressing and Teriyaki for several hours prior to deep frying. In a small bowl beat the eggs first and whip in the beer with a hand whisk. Add both mustards and seasonings into the mixture and whisk into a creamy sauce. Dip strips into the mustard sauce and roll in the Idaho potato flakes. Deep fry until golden brown. Drain and let cool a bit before eating. Enjoy!
